WHAT IS RSV?
RSV, or Respiratory Syncytial Virus is a common respiratory virus that often leads to mild cold-like symptoms. However, in high-risk populations, such as infants, bronchiolitis or pneumonia can occur (CDC, 2023.)

Decrease in appetite

Cough, which could progress to wheezing or difficulty breathing (CDC, 2023.)
EARLY SYMPTOMS OF RSV
RSV symptoms in infants appear differently and almost always show symptoms. In very young infants, symptoms can be:

Irritability

Decreased appetite

Decreased activity

Apnea (pauses in breathing for more than 10 seconds) (CDC, 2023.)
